So you’re saying there’s a chance? Texas’ odds to win it all in 2017
Posted January 9th, 2017
Alabama and Clemson play for the 2016-17 NCAA National Championship tonight in South Florida, but like always, some are looking ahead.
Like 365 days ahead.
That’s right. The betting lines are out for next year’s championship odds, and Texas’ chances aren’t as dim as you’d think they’d be for a team coming off three straight losing seasons.
Next year’s title odds: Bama 3-1, FSU 7-1, OhioSt/OU/USC 8-1, UL/LSU/Mich 12-1, Clem 18-1, Texas 25-1, Aub/OkSt/PSU 30-1 via @LVSuperBook

So 25-1 odds means Las Vegas gives Texas a 4 percent chance at winning it all, but if you want to make some money, it’s not a bad bet (unless of course you’re spending lost of money. If you bet just $1 and won you’d get $26 dollars.
Of course this could always change between now and next January.
