The Longhorns added a junior college defensive lineman to the 2017 class Wednesday with a late offer. Recruiting never ends, and Tom Herman proved that by extending an offer to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M’s defensive tackle Jamari Chisholm late Tuesday night. Chisholm was committed by the morning.

Texas showed interest in numerous JUCO defensive linemen before finding Chisholm. He’s a 6-5, 280-pound prospect who can play the three- or one-technique at tackle. He also can slide to defensive end in an odd-man front. A native of Georgia, he had committed to Central Florida last weekend. He took a visit to Texas on Jan. 13, but did not receive an offer until 24 hours before signing day. He’s the 17th member of the 2017 class and a three-star prospect, per 247Sports.
