Update: A one-time Oklahoma State pledge, Kerstetter flipped to Texas shortly after getting an offer from Herman and the Longhorns. A left tackle in high school, he upped his recruiting stock with an impressive showing at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in early January, spending time that week at guard and center. His lack of immense height might prevent him from playing offensive tackle in college; his strength and footwork make him a candidate to move inside, most likely to guard. He’s athletic enough to pull and block in the open field. He’ll need to get stronger at the point of attack during a likely redshirt season.
