Update: Boyce is built similarly to the cornerbacks that are currently on campus. He and Josh Thompson, another cornerback commitment for the 2017 class, play similar styles and both had committed to Texas when Charlie Strong was the coach. Boyce is a physical corner who looks more comfortable playing man-to-man than he does zone. Boyce’s ability to make plays when the ball is in the air sticks out. He goes after passes like a wide receiver and is athletic enough to return an interception for a touchdown. He has the length to be a physical corner, but will need to add weight to his frame before making a real impact at the position.
