The Longhorns are one of four Big 12 schools Crawford is considering, with Oklahoma, TCU and Texas Tech all still in the mix. The other schools on the list are Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State and SMU.

Crawford is a 5-foot-10, 163-pound athlete from Rockdale who is touted for his versatility. He has played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, cornerback and returner in high school, but it isn’t clear which position best fits him.

He is ranked as a 4-star athlete and the No. 24 athlete in the Class of 2017 by the 247Sports composite.
