WWE star The Undertaker visits Longhorns practice, shares life story

Posted March 24th, 2017

Celebrity sightings are nothing new at Texas practices, but there has never been one quite like the visit Tom Herman set up for his team on Thursday.

Longtime WWE superstar The Undertaker, an Austin resident and lifetime Longhorns fan (who knew!) came out to the 40 Acres and lifted the curtain on his inspiring life story. Taker — whose real name is Mark Calaway — told the players that he reps Texas wherever he goes and “every year I’m laying it down on the Longhorns.”

Texas live-streamed his speech, which you can watch below.

While the players gave Calaway a warm ovation and several re-tweeted the videos and photos afterward, the Longhorns coaches seemed to get an even bigger thrill from meeting the WWE legend. Which makes sense, because The Undertaker has been part of the professional wrestling scene since the early 1990s.

I guess we know what side the Longhorns will be on when The Undertaker takes on Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33.
