Texas sophomore Nolan Kingham has received a tip of the cap from the Big 12.

On Monday, Kingham was named the Big 12’s Pitcher of the Week. In this past weekend’s 2-0 win over Kansas State, Kingham allowed four hits during his first-ever complete game. The right-hander from Las Vegas struck out five and walked two.

Kingham is 3-2 this season, and he boasts a conference-leading 0.72 ERA.

Kingham is the first Longhorn to win a Big 12 award during the 2017 baseball season. Ty Culberth (Pitcher of the Week), Tres Barrera (Player of the Week) and Joe Baker (Player of the Week) were honored in 2016.
