In college basketball, there’s always a chance.
Odds makers are already looking ahead to next season to see who will follow North Carolina as the NCAA Tournament champion, and of course they put a number on Texas. According to various books, those odds range from 250-to-1 to 300-to-1.
Those are the same odds as Big 12 rivals Oklahoma State and Kansas State … and of course Rick Barnes-led Tennessee.
I see the odds of Texas winning next year's Final Four in men's basketball is 250-to-1. Same as Rick Barnes' Tennessee Vols.

Most Longhorns fans would be happy with just getting back to the tournament after a dismal 11-22 campaign. But as South Carolina became the latest to show, anything is possible once you punch a ticket to the big dance.
It’s sure to be an intriguing offseason for coach Shaka Smart and Texas.
