Tom Herman wants to bring championships to the University of Texas, and Friday he delivered a man who knows a thing or five about winning titles to the 40 Acres.

New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick is the keynote speaker at the Texas Coaches Clinic this weekend in Austin. Longhorns Athletic Director Mike Perrin posted a photo of himself with Belichick and Herman on Twitter late Friday morning, complete with Belichick in a short-sleeve windbreaker over top of an open button-down shirt.

During a press conference last month, Herman said he asked Belichick if he would be available during a conversation about Patriots linebacker Elandon Roberts, who played for Herman at Houston.

“So we talked about E-Rob for a long time, and I just kind of, ‘Hey, Coach, by the way, we’ve got a clinic on April 7th, would you be free?,'” he said. “… Within a couple days we had confirmed it. Excited as all get-out. That’s a big one.”

Belichick is fresh off his fifth Super Bowl title, accomplished by way of an incredible 25-point comeback to beat the Atlanta Falcons two months ago in Houston. Now he’s back in the Lone Star State to share some of his wisdom with the many coaches who showed up for the annual Texas Coaches Clinic.
