LOOK: Tom Herman’s Houston-area mansion on the market

Posted April 28th, 2017

Looking for a new home in the Houston area? If $2 million is your price range, you could take over Tom Herman’s throne in Bellaire.

That’s the list price of the mansion the Hermans called home during his tenure with the Cougars, which is up on Realtor.com. The 5,660-square-foot house, custom-built in 2004, has five bedrooms and 4-1/2 bathrooms.

Needless to say, it’s pretty nice.

Property records show that Herman bought it in March 2015 for an undisclosed amount, although the list price was $1.7 million. “Its upscale location, as part of the coveted Braeburn Country Club, makes it a savvy choice for a smart investor,” reads the description written by Julio Lara on Realtor.com.

That investment worked out pretty well for Herman, who in all likelihood will be moving into an even nicer place in Austin. Herman made a reported $3 million at Houston, and is in line to make at least $5 million per year in his current deal at Texas.

We would suggest this place, but it probably has a few haunts.
