Weather extends Texas softball squad’s shutout streak into Sunday

Posted April 29th, 2017

For Texas sports fans, Saturday’s schedule is clearing up.

Due to rainy weather, the Texas and Kansas softball teams have moved the finale of their three-game series to Sunday. The postponement was announced just minutes after weather pushed Texas’ baseball game at Oklahoma State back a day on the calendar.

Kansas will now host Texas at 12 p.m. on Sunday. The game will not be televised, but fans can tune into 105.3 FM.

Texas (28-20; 6-8 Big 12) and Kansas (24-25; 3-11) played twice on Friday, and the Longhorns rolled to 10-0 and 2-0 victories. Factoring in a shutout of North Texas on Wednesday, Texas has shutout three straight opponents for the first time since 2013.
