That new male romper look could be coming to the new Longhorn locker room soon

Posted May 16th, 2017

Yes, the male romper, also known as the RompHim, is taking the world by storm. The one-piece, jumpsuit-shorts garment has gone from Kickstarter to reality, and according to GQ Magazine, the project has already earned more than $68,000 in less than two days. Clearly, guys want this style, which has previously been mostly marketed toward women.

One guy who wants to rock this look also happens to be the all-time single-game total yards from scrimmage leader in Texas football history. Quarterback-turned wide receiver Jerrod Heard is a fan of the RompHim.

Of course this drew some heat from former teammates that just can’t get with the sartorial times:

Heard’s enthusiasm has waned, as he told Quandre Diggs, a former teammate who now plays for the Detroit Lions:

It makes sense, since Texas has already begun renovating the locker room, that one player would start renovating the fashion that will be in that locker room come fall.

Editor’s note: The original version of this story has been edited to correct the record Heard owns for a single game.
