Longhorn legend Vince Young is on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated as part of the magazine’s “Where are they now?” special double issue.

With the headline that reads “Still Invinceable?” the cover story covers the peaks and valleys of Young’s career. From Rose Bowl hero and NFL Rookie of the Year to his very public fallout with the league and financial troubles, the story covers what most Longhorn fans have followed closely.

Including his recent attempt to resurrect his career in Canada this summer, a resurrection that ended last week when he was waived following a hamstring injury.

Young explains the comeback attempt by telling Sports Illustrated that his NFL career didn’t end by choice three years ago, and this was an attempt to end on his own terms: “This is to finish my career on my note.
