Let’s use Texas’ roster, history and scouting reports to countdown to the start of the 2017 football season. Today, we are only 64 days away from Texas’ home game against Maryland.

Which Longhorn wears No. 64? Junior Jake McMillon, who made five starts last season at three different positions (right guard, left guard and center). A redshirt in 2014, McMillon has already earned a degree in corporate communication. The Abilene native’s younger brother, Coy, is a freshman lineman at TCU.

Who also wears No. 64? Maryland OL Brendan Moore (13 starts in 2016); TCU OL Matt Pryor (13 starts)

Fun fact about No. 64: The UT record for passes broken up in a career belongs to Nathan Vasher, who swatted away 64 passes from 2000-03. Vasher’s 17 career interceptions are also a Texas record that he shares with Noble Doss. In case you’re curious, juniors John Bonney (10 break-ups) and DeShon Elliott (three interceptions) are the current Longhorns closest to Vasher.
