Former Texas offensive guard Brandon Hodges will finish his collegiate career at Pittsburgh.
“Next stop!,” Hodges tweeted on Tuesday. He’s certainly cutting it close. The Panthers’ first workout is Tuesday.
Hodges did not complete spring drills with the Longhorns as the school said he was “focusing on academics.” Then, Hodges announced in mid-June he was leaving and would be a graduate transfer elsewhere.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pounder started nine games at right tackle last season.
Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi has been looking for all sorts of graduate transfers to fill various roles. “We’re gonna welcome grad transfers if they’re available, if they’re the right guys, and there’s always a chance to get another one,” Narduzzi said at ACC media days, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
