The weight room at Texas just got a little more crowded.

On Thursday, Adam Potts announced that he had been hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Texas. Potts will be one of five assistant coaches working for Yancy McKnight, who runs the football program’s strength and conditioning program.

Potts spent the past 18 months as an assistant at Cal, working with the school’s football, golf and women’s rowing teams.  He has also held similar jobs at Iowa State and Lamar.

Potts worked from 2014-15 at Iowa State. Until he left for Houston in 2015, McKnight served as the Cyclones’ Director of Strength and Conditioning.
