On Sept. 1, Texas’ Longhorns will be off and running.

UT announced on Tuesday that its men and women will open the 2017 cross country season in College Station at the Aggie Opener. Last year, the Texas men placed 30th in their eighth straight trip to the NCAA Championships.

The Big 12’s championship meet will be run at Old Settlers Park on Oct. 28. The Longhorns will have a chance to test out the Round Rock-based course on Sept. 14 when they host the Texas Invitational. UT will also run at Notre Dame, Ind., and Louisville, Ky., before the Big 12 meet.

Old Settlers Park isn’t the only place that UT is hoping to run twice at. The NCAA’s South Central Regional race will be held on Nov. 10 in College Station. Louisville’s E. P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park is the location of the NCAA Championships on Nov. 18.
