About the series: Texas leads the all-time series 108-65. The last matchup on Jan. 10 may forever be seared into UT fans’ memories. Earlier that day, it was announced that Texas guard Andrew Jones had leukemia. That night, the Longhorns pulled out 99-98 upset win over the 16th-ranked Frogs in double overtime.

About the Longhorns: Coach Shaka Smart promised his team would undergo an intense review of Wednesday’s lethargic loss to Kansas State. Freshman Mo Bamba said there were two film sessions. “We did a lot of film work and he pointed out different areas where we needed to improve,” Bamba said. “Some of those were intangibles, just simply having that look on your face and having that energy.” … One player who could make a dramatic difference against TCU is Dylan Osetkowski. The coaches want him to stop thinking and just react, much like he did in January. He’s shooting 34.6 percent in Big 12 play compared to 40.9 for the season. … The Horns have lost four straight Big 12 road games.

About the Horned Frogs: Guard Jaylen Fisher, who missed the potential game-winning layup in double OT in Austin, is now out for the season. He suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee on Jan. 16. He was averaging 12.3 points per game. … The rest of the Frogs are trying to pick up the slack. Five players are averaging in double figures over the last five games. Vladimir Brodziansky leads the way with 14.4 points, and Desmond Bane is shooting 60 percent. … This is the first of three of four home games for the Frogs. Saturday’s game is a “white out” where the first 500 students will get free shirts. The Frogs are 11-3 at home. All home games this season have been sold out.
