“I really liked the Rover position and how Todd Orlando likes to use the player,” Floyd said after junior day. “Texas is real high. The atmosphere and the fact I have family (in Austin) makes me real comfortable on my visit. It felt like home.”
Texas was listed alongside Georgia, UCLA, Oregon and others. Not timetable is yet made for his decision. Floyd is the No. 42-ranked player in the nation and the No. 3-ranked outside linebacker, per 247Sports Composite. He’s the fifth-best player in California and has a relationship with current Texas quarterback Cameron Rising from their 7-on-7 days.
