On Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, Texas improved to 2-0 in Big 12 play with a 4-0 win over Kansas. For the second straight day, UT never trailed against the Jayhawks.
The Longhorns were led to victory by pitcher Blair Henley. The sophomore right-hander allowed five hits, and he saw his ERA drop to 1.80 after seven innings of shutout baseball. A one-time Big 12 Pitcher of the Week this year, Henley improved his record to 3-1.

Texas junior Kody Clemens provided the Longhorns with the offense they needed on Saturday. Over the first three innings, Clemens hit a solo home run and recorded a RBI single. Clemens also scored the Longhorns’ third run in the sixth inning.
Texas, which routed Kansas on Friday, will go for a sweep of the Jayhawks on Sunday. Texas (11-9) and Kansas (12-6) are scheduled to meet in Austin at 1 p.m.
