Hot ticket: UT to restrict availability of tickets to Texas’ rematch with USC

Posted May 15th, 2018

If you’re planning on going to the Texas/USC game this fall, be prepared to buy tickets for the Longhorns’ home contests against Tulsa, TCU, Baylor, West Virginia and Iowa State as well.

The University of Texas announced on Tuesday that single-game tickets for its home game against USC on Sept. 15 will not be made available. Tickets sold through UT will only be doled out to season ticket holders. Need season tickets? They’ll be on sale from June 13-15.

The remaining tickets for the Texas/USC game will also be offered to season ticket holders. The order in which those customers can scoop up the extra tickets will be determined by “Loyalty Points rank.”

Last year in Los Angeles, Texas and USC played before a crowd of 84,714. The Longhorns were beaten 27-24 in two overtimes.
