Texas can officially announce the incoming signees from the 2018 class when summer school begins Thursday. Nine members of the third-ranked recruiting class enrolled early and participated in spring practices. Eighteen more are expected to join the team in the summer as the program readies for its second season under Tom Herman.

One of the players who made his way to campus is Junior Angilau. Questions surrounded his college career based on the possibility of a two-year LDS mission. Those questions were apparently answered on social media on Thursday when a picture of the 6-foot-6 four-star offensive lineman on campus surfaced.
Angilau was one of five offensive linemen to commit to Texas in the 2018 class. Mikey Grandy, a JUCO transfer from California, was the only one of the five to enroll early. The Longhorns also expect to add Rafiti Ghirmai, Reese Moore and Christian Jones for the 2018 season, as well as Rice grad transfer Calvin Anderson.
