Texas ex Brooks Kieschnick to be inducted into Southwest Conference Hall of Fame

Texas baseball is getting closer to a full lineup of inductees in the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame.

On Tuesday, the Texas Sports Hall of Fame announced that Brooks Kieschnick will be the latest Longhorn inducted into the SWC Hall of Fame in September. He will be the eighth Longhorns baseball player or coach to receive the honor.

Kieschnick played at Texas from 1991 to 1993, earning first-team All-America and AP/SWC Player of the Year honors in each of his three seasons. The Longhorns reached the College World Series twice (1992, 1993) during that stretch.

He joins Roger Clemens, Billy Disch, Bibb Falk, Cliff Gustafson, Burt Hooton, Tex Hughson and Ernie Koy.
