Posted July 25th, 2018

Need a bit of inspiration to help get you through the week? Andrew Jones has plenty to go around.

The Texas guard is still battling leukemia, but he’s looking stronger than ever. A video surfaced earlier this week of Jones playing pickup basketball. He’s back to dunking and draining step-back jumpers.

Jones returned to school in June, about six months after the world learned of his leukemia diagnosis. He was released from the hospital in late February, and his posts on social media since then have grown steadily more optimistic.

To get an idea of how far Jones has come, take a look back at the video he posted in February of himself putting up shots while in the hospital.  While a return to the Longhorns for the 2018-19 season is still very much up in the air, Jones has a legion of fans pulling for him. Texas continues to hold his scholarship.
