Alabama was ranked No. 1 in the poll, with Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia and Oklahoma rounding out the top five. Other Big 12 schools included were TCU (No. 16), West Virginia (No. 20) and Oklahoma State (No. 25).
Texas’ opponent in Week 3, Southern California, was ranked No. 15.
