Texas, UConn agree to play twice in basketball

Two of the top-five winningest programs in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history will meet again on the hardwood. Texas and UConn have agreed to a home-and-home series for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, it was announced Tuesday.

The two teams will first meet at UConn in the 2020-21 season before playing in Austin in 2021-22. Dates for the games have not yet been set.

The Longhorns and Huskies last met on January 15, 2018 in Austin – a 75-71 victory by the No. 1 Huskies. The two teams have met nine times in the history of the two programs.
