Hutto's Dajon Harrison starred at wide receiver in high school, and likely will get a look at slot receiver at Texas. But he's also an intriguing prospect on defense, too. (Stephen Spillman/For Statesman)

2020 Hutto athlete Dajon Harrison commits to Texas

Posted November 5th, 2019

Texas’ recruiting class grew to 18 members on Tuesday when Hutto athlete Dajon Harrison pledged to the Longhorns Tuesday. The one-time TCU commit excels at wide receiver for the local Hippos. Harrison caught 49 passes for 695 yards and six touchdowns, adding 88 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He’s also a possible cornerback in college.

Harrison is quick-footed slot receiver measuring in at 5-10 and 170 pounds. He held 13 reported offers before picking up a late one from Texas. Hutto is just 30 miles from campus. Harrison was a guest of Texas for the Red River Showdown. Texas’ 2020 recruiting class still ranks sixth in the nation and first in the Big 12.
