Texas trio to participate in the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl
Posted November 11th, 2019
Whichever postseason contest that Texas ends up in this year won’t be the only bowl game for a trio of Longhorns.
Texas announced on Monday that senior receivers Devin Duvernay and Collin Johnson recently accepted invitations to the 2020 Reese’s Senior Bowl. Senior safety Brandon Jones will also participate in the event.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl will be played on Jan. 25, 2020 in Mobile, Ala. It is an annual showcase for some of the top seniors in the nation. Over the past two years, former Longhorns Poona Ford, Kris Boyd and Charles Omenihu all accepted invitations to the game.

Duvernay currently ranks second among FBS-level receivers in receptions (78) and receptions per game (8.7). In UT’s history, only five Longhorns have recorded more than Johnson’s 185 career receptions. With 61 tackles this season, Jones leads the Longhorns in that statistical category.
Duvernay, Johnson and Jones have all served as team captains in 2019.
