After one year at Texas, Jarrett Allen is heading to Brooklyn.
On Thursday, the Brooklyn Nets chose Texas’ freshman center with the 22nd pick in the Brooklyn-hosted NBA Draft. Allen becomes the 16th Longhorn taken in the history of the NBA Draft’s first round, the last of which was Myles Turner in 2015.
The 6-11 Allen is the son of Leonard Allen, who was a third-round pick by the Dallas Mavericks in 1985.
