Posted June 22nd, 2016

Texas golfers Beau Hossler, Gavin Hall and Doug Ghim were all honored as 2016 Golfweek All-Americans on Wednesday.

Hossler made the first team while Hall and Ghim made the second team.

Hall won twice this season and had five top-10 finishes. Ghim finished in the top 10 at six tournaments and went 3-0 during match play at the NCAA Championship.

In addition to being named first-team All-American, Hossler was named to the All-Nicklaus team, announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Hossler is among 24 honorees recognized for outstanding play. It’s his second time making the All-Nicklaus team. Hossler led the Longhorns this year, earning five medalist honors and six more top-10 finishes in 12 events.

Hossler’s head coach at UT, John Fields, was also honored on Wednesday as the 2016 Golfweek coach of the year.

“Our team enjoyed extraordinary success this year. I am so appreciative of my team and their desire to win,” Fields said.
