A three-way tie after 54 holes of the Lamkin San Diego Classic ended in a win for Mason Anderson of Arizona State as he topped UT’s Cole Hammer and Blake Hathcoat of St. Mary’s (Calif.) in a playoff Tuesday in Chula Vista, Calif.
Anderson made par on the playoff hole while Hammer and Hathcoat each made bogey.
Arizona State won the team title, shooting 854 through the three-round tournament. Texas took second, trailing by one shot.
Three Longhorns finished in the top 10 with Hammer leading the way. Pierceson Coody took a tie for fourth place while Parker Coody tied for 10th.
Hammer shot 210, 6 under par for the tournament. His best round came on the final day as he shot 66.
Pierceson Coody had the low round of the tournament for UT, shooting 65 in the second round. He finished 4 under par.
Parker Coody shot even at 216.
Steven Chervony finished tied for 34th while Spencer Soosman tied for 38th. Christoffer Bring tied for 45th, playing as an individual.
