The Texas men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invitational in North Plains, Ore. on Tuesday.
The Longhorns shot 843 over three rounds, behind Oklahoma by 20 strokes. The Sooners won the tournament by five strokes over Wake Forest.
Spencer Soosman led the Longhorns as he finished at 4-under-par 209 to tie for 15th place.
Pierceson Coody had the best final round for Texas, shooting 67 and sinking a hole-in-one. His first ace in competition came on the 15th hole and helped him finish tied for 30th.
Christoffer Bring also shot in the 60s, recording a 69 to finish at 212, tied for 21st.
Parker Coody tied for 30th place after shooting 214 for the tournament.
Cole Hammer had a rough tournament, finishing in a tie for 42nd after shooting 216.
Logan McAllister took medalist honors for the Sooners. He shot 202 and finished under par in every round.
