Texas men’s tennis team upset by Tulsa on the road

The fourth-ranked Texas men’s tennis team was upset 4-3 by Tulsa in Oklahoma on Friday.
Tulsa won the doubles point and matched the Longhorns win-for-win in singles competition to knock Texas down to 3-1 on the season.
Mitchell Pritchard took a three-set victory over Julian Zlobinsky to finish off the Longhorns. Pritchard won the match 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.
A strong showing in the doubles competition put the Golden Hurricanes in the driver’s seat for the competition. Daniel Santos and Jarod Hing defeated Harrison Scott and Zlobinsky 6-4 at third doubles. Or Ram-Harel and Majed Kilani sealed the doubles point with a 6-3 win over George Goldhoff and Leo Telles.
Scott picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Okkie Kellerman to tie the competition at 1-1 before Telles gave the Longhorns a 2-1 lead. Telles defeated Santos 6-0, 6-1.
Ram-Harel tied things at 2-2 with a 7-6 (2), 6-2 upset victory over No. 6 Christian Sigsgaard.
Goldhoff defeated Dominic Bechard 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 to give the Longhorns their final win of the day.
Kilani tied the match up at 3-all with an upset win over No. 36 Yuya Ito before Pritchard sealed the win. It took Kilani three sets to take the win 1-6, 7-5, 6-2.
Texas next faces Arkansas on Sunday.
