No. 8 Oklahoma State tops No. 6 Texas men’s tennis

No. 8 Oklahoma State defeated No. 6 Texas 4-2 Sunday in Sitllwater, Okla.

The Cowboys (18-4, 1-1 Big 12) picked up the doubles point by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches to take a 1-o lead.

Oklahoma State won the No. 2 singles match when Arjun Kadhe defeated Harrison Scott in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. Tristan Meraut sealed the win for Oklahoma State with a 6-1, 6-7 (1), 6-3 win over Rodrigo Banzer in the No. 6 singles match. George Goldhof and Leonardo Telles each picked up singles wins for Texas.


The Longhorns hosts No. 4 Baylor on April 12 at the Caswell Tennis Center.
