Rain keeps adjusting the Texas men’s tennis schedule, but the Longhorns were able to win 6-1 over Utah State Friday.
The match began at the Texas Tennis Center but ended indoors at the Weller Tennis Center.
Texas sealed the doubles point and rattled off five singles wins to take the match.
“We really got pushed tonight,” head coach Michael Center said. “But I like the way we responded at the end and pushed through.”

After Ito defeated Samuel Serrano 6-1, 6-0, Utah State took its only win at sixth singles. Felipe Acosta upset John Mee 6-4, 6-0 to make it 2-1 in favor of Texas.
It was all Texas after that. Christian Sigsgaard beat Carvajal 6-2, 7-5 before Telles won 6-1, 7-6 (7) over Bucur to clinch the match.
Harrison Scott won 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (10-6) before Banzer took a 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 win.
