Top seed Yuya Ito won twice in singles competition to advance to the semifinals of the ITA National Fall Championships in Newport Beach, Calif.
Ito defeated No. 49 Adrian Boitan of Baylor 7-6 (6), 6-3 in the round of 16. He then topped ninth-ranked Jack Lin of Columbia 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
