The Texas men’s tennis team made it a clean sweep, defeating No. 8 Stanford 4-0 at the Texas Tennis Center on Friday.
The Longhorns won a competitive doubles point and took three singles contests to win the dual match. The victory makes the No. 4 Longhorns 10-2 while dropping Stanford to 7-4.
Chih Chi Huang clinched the match for Texas with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Timothy Sah.
After falling in their first doubles match, the Longhorns rallied to take the next two. Huang and Cleeve Harper topped Sah and Tomas Kopczynski 6-3 before Jacob Bullard and Eliot Spizzirri sealed the point. The Texas duo beat Alex Rotsaert and Sangeet Sridhar 6-4.
Christian Sigsgaard, ranked No. 6, defeated No. 5 Rotsaert 6-3, 6-1 to open singles action.
Siem Woldeab made it 3-0 for Texas with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Neel Rajesh.
