Texas Soccer recruiting class ranked No. 15 in the nation
Posted February 10th, 2016
The 2016 Texas Soccer recruiting class was ranked No. 15 in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer. The nine-member class is also the top-ranked class in the Big 12 conference.
The Longhorns added seven freshmen and two goalkeeper transfers last week on National Signing Day. The class includes four forwards, three goalkeepers and two defenders. There are a few two-sport athletes in the mix, and there are even some good genes, as Billups is the daughter of former NBA champion and five-time all-star Chauncey Billups.
Here’s the Longhorns’ 2016 class:
Name | Position | Hometown/Previous school |
---|---|---|
Cydney Billups | Forward | Greenwood Village, Colo./Mountain Vista HS |
Taylor Braun | Goalkeeper | Colleyville, Texas/Kentucky transfer |
Paige Brown | Goalkeeper | Jackson, Mo./Louisville transfer |
Nicole Curry | Goalkeeper | Dallas, Texas/Episcopal School of Dallas |
Kyra Falcone | Forward | San Antonio, Texas/MacArthur HS |
Cyera Hintzen | Forward | McKinney, Texas/Sachse HS |
Emily Martin | Defender | Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman HS |
Atu Mshana | Defender | Garland, Texas/Bishop Lynch HS |
Tecora Turner | Forward | Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy |
