The Texas soccer team lost its fourth straight Big 12 match Friday night, falling 2-0 to Iowa State in Ames, Iowa.
The Longhorns (7-7-1) are in last place in the conference at 0-4-1 and have been shutout their last two conference matches.
Texas goalie Paige Brown had a career-high seven saves as the Cyclones put nine shots on goal.
Iowa State (8-5-1, 2-3-1) went ahead less than five minutes into the match when Koree Willer’s crossing pass ricocheted off a player towards the the middle of the penalty box and Hannah Cade sent it in from ten yards out.
Cyclone forward Klasey Medelberg broke away from the Texas defense in the 70th minute and sent a pass from the end line across the middle to Taylor Wagner, who beat Brown.
Iowa State goalie Lindsey Hendon notched her eighth shutout of the season and had four saves.
