UT soccer team falls to Monmouth
Shorthanded Longhorns suffer 4-0 loss.

Texas gave up three goals in the first half and another with seven minutes to go in a 4-0 loss to Monmouth on Sunday afternoon.
The defeat, ending a streak of 18 regular-season nonconference wins, dropped the 25th-ranked Longhorns to 4-3. Monmouth is 2-2-2.
Dana Scheriff scored just 5 minutes, 25 seconds into the game, Lexie Palladino got the second goal at 17:52, and A’Liah Moore got the final goal of the half at 25:40. Madie Gibson’s goal at 83:01 completed the scoring.
Texas played without All-America forward Cyera Hintzen, who was held out as a precaution after a rough collision while scoring a goal Friday night in a 2-0 win over Washington.
Next up for the Longhorns will be Providence at 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers Stadium.
