UT soccer team routs Grambling State 8-0

Berg, Grosso each score two goals.

Haley Berg and Julia Grosso scored two goals apiece as the Texas soccer team rolled over Grambling State 8-0 Sunday at Myers Stadium.

The Longhorns (5-4) also got goals from Cydney Billups, Mackenzie McFarland, Carlee Allen and Kyra Falcone.

The UT defense held the Tigers (3-6-1) to six shots, three on goal. The Longhorns peppered Grambling with 30 shots, 16 on goal.


Berg started the scoring 29 minutes, 5 seconds into the contest, and Grosso booted in a pair at 31:00 and 31:52 to give UT a 3-0 lead at the break. Berg tallied again at 57:00, followed by Billups at 62:06, McFarland at 65:34 and Allen at 68:41. Falcone capped the scoring at 80:41.

Texas will visit Kansas for a Big 12 match at 7 p.m. Thursday.
