Texas will host 10 soccer matches this fall, but the Longhorns won’t be given any breaks with their travel arrangements.
UT released a 17-match schedule for the 2020 soccer season on Monday. Texas will open its 2020 campaign with a match against UTSA on Aug. 20, and the Longhorns’ first five appearances will be made at home. Like the school’s football team, Texas will head to LSU during the second week of September.
Texas’ 2020 schedule features five teams that qualified for last year’s NCAA Tournament. All five of those schools are member of the Big 12. Texas will greet Kansas in Austin but must travel to Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
The start times and broadcast information for these 17 matches were not announced on Monday. In a press release, Texas conceded that the “schedule is subject to change due to any COVID-19 concerns prior to the start of the campaign. Postseason information is also still being formulated at the time of this release.”

Last year, UT went 11-8-1 and appeared in the first round of the NCAA’s tournament. Senior Haley Berg and junior Julia Grosso, who led the Longhorns in scoring last season, are two of the 21 letterwinners that Texas expects back this fall.
