The Texas softball team ran into stiff competition Friday, falling to the No. 3 Oregon Ducks 8-0 in five innings at the Puerto Vallarta Challenge in Mexico.
The run-rule victory moved the Ducks to 9-0 this season, dropping Texas to 3-4.
Jenna Lilley was 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs to lead the Ducks. DJ Sanders went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two walks. She also drove in a run. Mary Iakopo doubled and had an RBI.
