Junior Brooke Bolinger tied a career high with 10 strikeouts, but Georgetown scored the only run of the game in the top of the seventh inning and held on to defeat Texas 1-0 Sunday in the final game of the Charleston Invitational.

Georgetown’s Noelle Holiday hit a single to left field with two outs. Savannah Jones blasted a Bolinger pitch to deep left field, but Kaitlyn Washington collided with the wall and Holiday rounded third base to score the eventual winning run.

Texas (12-13) left nine runners stranded as Paige von Sprecken went 2-for-3 as did Tuesday DerMargosian. None of the Longhorns six hits went for extra bases.
