The Texas softball team has yet to drop a conference game, defeating Texas Tech 5-2 on Friday night at McCombs Field.
Brooke Bolinger picked up the win, allowing two runs on five hits in a complete-game performance. She struck out eight and walked four.
Kaitlyn Washington went 1-for-3 with a run scored, a double and two RBIs. Malory Schattle also doubled and drove in two runs for Texas.

Texas (24-15, 7-0 Big 12) scored four runs in the first inning to get in the driver’s seat. Washington’s two-run double, followed by Schattle’s, put Tech behind.
The Red Raiders (21-20, 1-9) cut the lead in half in the third on a two-run double by Karli Hamilton.
Alcozer’s double in the fifth added an insurance run the Longhorns wouldn’t need.
Kassidy Scott was hit with the loss, giving up four runs off three hits in just 2/3 of an inning. She also walked three.
The series continues in Austin on Saturday at 1 p.m.
