The Texas Longhorns softball team made it three straight run-rule wins at the Texas Classic with a 12-0 win in five innings over Lamar on Friday.
Ariana Adams took the win, giving up one hit and striking out four in four innings.
Courtney Day drove in three runs and homered. Kaitlyn Slack also had three RBIs.
Miranda Elish continued her hot hitting, adding another home run while driving in two runs. She has two homers in two days of action at the Texas Classic.
Kaitlyn Washington went 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and two runs scored.
McKenzie Parker doubled and drove in two runs for Texas while Shannon Rhodes added a triple and scored.
After a scoreless first inning, Elish hit her second home run of the season to put the Longhorns ahead in the second inning. Day Homered in the next inning as Texas put up six runs in the third.
The Longhorns added four more runs in the fourth before Day entered the pitcher’s circle to close things out in the top of the fifth.
