What was Kliff Kingsbury doing instead of watching the UT vs. Notre Dame game?

Posted September 8th, 2016

Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury was too busy to watch the Longhorns beat Notre Dame. Too busy watching season two of “Narcos” on Netflix.

When asked during a Monday presser whether or not he’d caught the game, Kingsbury admitted, “I was watching ‘Narcos Season 2.’ I didn’t get to see it Friday, so I was on it hard yesterday.” Luckily, the season’s premiere didn’t land anywhere near the Nov. 5 Texas/Texas face off.  Texas college football coaches are just like us, guys. Probably with fewer Cheetos, though.

According to the Lubbock-Avalanche Journal, however, Red Raider quarterback Patrick Mahomes II made time for the Longhorns:

“It was an awesome game. Two really good teams. Both teams’ quarterbacks played well, all the quarterbacks in the game. It was exciting to see a high-scoring game with a lot of different changes and momentum.”

Mahomes mentioned that he has not yet watched “Narcos” and plans to soon.
