The foundation of the 2021 recruiting class for the Texas women’s basketball team will be a legacy Longhorn.

Texas received a verbal commitment from Paige Bradley on Saturday afternoon. Bradley is a 5-9 guard from Dallas Bishop Lynch. She is the first member of UT’s 2021 recruiting class.

Bradley is the daughter of Amie Smith Bradley, who starred on UT’s basketball court from 1993-97. In the Texas record books, Smith Bradley ranks 29th in career points (1,228), eighth in career rebounds (940) and ninth in career starts (114). Paige Bradley’s father, Steve, also played football for the Longhorns.

Prospects Nation ranks Bradley as the 58th-best recruit in Class of 2021. According to MaxPreps.com, Bradley averaged 8.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game during her sophomore season.
