Sophia Schubert shot a second-round 67 and finished the day with the lead at the Clemson Invitational in Sunset, S.C. on Saturday.
Texas sits in fourth place at 5-under, three shots behind Furman.
Schubert made three straight birdies on the way to six overall on the day. She’s 8-under par and one shot ahead of Alice Chen of Furman and Matilda Castren of Florida State. Schubert has made 11 birdies for the tournament, which leads all competitors.
Emilee Hoffman is tied in 13th after shooting 69, while Greta Isabella Voelker is even overall and tied for 21st. Hoffman moved up 14 places with the help of four birdies on the day. Voelker made three birdies to move up six spots.
Julia Beck is tied for 35th while Haley Mills is tied for 73rd. Beck shot a 74 while Mills carded a 77.
The final round tees off at 7:54 a.m. on Sunday.
