Texas women’s golf tied for first at Betsy Rawls Invitational

Kent State made its move Saturday, checking in at 575, 1 under par, to tie Texas atop the leaderboard of the Betsy Rawls Invitational at the UT Golf Club.

Both teams lead Florida by nine strokes heading into Sunday.

Hailee Cooper had the low round of the day for Texas, shooting 67. She moved into first place, two shots ahead of teammate Kaitlyn Papp, who sits in second after shooting 70.


Greta Isabella Voelker matched her first-day score of 73 for 11th place. Sara Kouskova shot 74 and Emilee Hoffman carded a 76 to round out the team scores for Texas. Kouskova sits in a tie for 19th while Hoffman’s score is good for a tie for 38th.

Agathe Laisne fell off the pace after a first-place finish on the first day. She followed her first-round 68 with a 79 and is tied for 12th as she competes as an individual. Maddie Luitwieler of Texas is also competing as an individual and shot 76 to tie for 25th.
